The nice shot from Santos Fernendo in the 17thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Zeledon Fernado had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 21st minute of the match Domingos Teyo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guillermo Chayo skillfully saved the ball. Jete FC's Guillermo Chayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Raymundo in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Cipriano Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot. la ROMAno!'s supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Calvino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Chayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Santos Fernendo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Fernado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. la ROMAno!'s Domingos Teyo suffered a sore thigh after 38 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Benedicto Erroman's late challenge caught a la ROMAno!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedicto Erroman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th minute, Benedicto Erroman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Raymundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillermo Chayo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Raymundo ran back to his position shaking his head. Geronimo Bixintxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Raymundo made a kick off.
