The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nico Heije scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ladislao Lope, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute Nico Heije shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Lope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornelio Peruxu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 11th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 14 minutes, Amancio Asier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dep. Lupihuana Fortinero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Asier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atalanta B. C.'s Ladislao Lope played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Heije in the 15th minute of play. Ladislao Lope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Heije in the 18th minute of the match. Cornelio Peruxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Edgard Tulio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nereo Millano hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Cornelio Peruxu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Nico Heije notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Atalanta B. C.'s Ladislao Lope. Ladislao Lope was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45thth minute of the game Nico Heije who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atalanta B. C.'s Ladislao Lope was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ladislao Lope made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Asier in the 46th minute of play. Ladislao Lope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Heije in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nico Heije to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcos Timo might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgard Tulio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcos Timo ran back to his position shaking his head. Atalanta B. C.'s Ladislao Lope proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Atalanta B. C. from getting a goal against them. When Pablo Mantzio fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atalanta B. C.'s protests and gave Pablo Mantzio a yellow card for diving instead. Dep. Lupihuana Fortinero's Amado Tonete was substituted for Hipolito Artaldo. After 69 played minutes Atalanta B. C. got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Timo. Ladislao Lope made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nico Heije in the 78th minute. Dep. Lupihuana Fortinero's Nico Heije got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Nico Heije had to leave the field with a concussion. Aristides Oinatz's late challenge caught a Dep. Lupihuana Fortinero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Oinatz helped the player get up and apologised. Aristides Oinatz hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 85 played minutes Ernesto Costante rounded Atalanta B. C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Amancio Asier struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Ladislao Lope didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dep. Lupihuana Fortinero. Octavio Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Atalanta B. C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Dep. Lupihuana Fortinero were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
