If Modesto Olayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Modesto Olayo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Generoso Abeitia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Modesto Olayo might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Generoso Abeitia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Modesto Olayo ran back to his position shaking his head. Modesto Olayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lisandro Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th minute, Modesto Olayo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Generoso Abeitia. The goal made the score 2-0. Modesto Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Generoso Abeitia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Modesto Olayo's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Modesto Olayo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Generoso Abeitia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bielsista FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Modesto Olayo scored to the left of an out of position Generoso Abeitia, making the score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernan Remicio made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Modesto Olayo put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Generoso Abeitia. Lisandro Berbiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Generoso Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Generoso Abeitia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Olayo in the 69th minute of the match. San Lorenzo de Almagro's Tomas Frechoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Satordi in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Modesto Olayo notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Bielsista FC's Generoso Abeitia. Generoso Abeitia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elias Tolino hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bielsista FC's goalkeeper Generoso Abeitia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Bielsista FC defense, Modesto Olayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Generoso Abeitia. The Bielsista FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Generoso Abeitia should have stopped the shot. Modesto Olayo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Generoso Abeitia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Generoso Abeitia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Modesto Olayo's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Victoriano Txartiko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Generoso Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. San Lorenzo de Almagro had played much better football throughout.
