Victoriano Txartiko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Pastor Quexal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 minutes of play, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Faustino Markel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pastor Quexal was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes into the game, San Lorenzo de Almagro's Modesto Olayo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pastor Quexal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Pastor Quexal came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo de Almagro's Modesto Olayo. But to his dismay, Modesto Olayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Guillermo George's late challenge caught a San Lorenzo de Almagro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo George helped the player get up and apologised. After 19 played minutes Jumial got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo George. In the 23rd minute, Marciano Brun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Göran Jonsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Tomas Frechoso made a huge save. Pastor Quexal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Olayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pastor Quexal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Modesto Olayo's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When Faustino Markel came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the San Lorenzo de Almagro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Markel couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Anastasio Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Teodosio Pere came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the San Lorenzo de Almagro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodosio Pere couldn't finish the play. Pastor Quexal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Modesto Olayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faustino Markel got free with Pastor Quexal in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute, Modesto Olayo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pastor Quexal. The goal made the score 0-4. Jumial's Pastor Quexal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Jumial from getting a goal against them. Ovidio Curcio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, one of San Lorenzo de Almagro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for San Lorenzo de Almagro. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Jumial. Ladislao Orzaize stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tomas Frechoso. 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Saturnin in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Frechoso saved San Lorenzo de Almagro from getting behind. If Faustino Markel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jumial's Pastor Quexal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Jumial from getting a goal against them. When Victoriano Txartiko came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the San Lorenzo de Almagro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victoriano Txartiko couldn't finish the play. Tomas Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Saturnin, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. San Lorenzo de Almagro played a much better game than Jumial and deserved their victory. The Jumial players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
