The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silverio Otoniel charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Eliseo Pirro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Leheren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Pajalta FC's Severino Ulizes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelio Azibar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 19 minutes of play, Pajalta FC's Virgilio Ladio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Azibar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Isidro Ramirez hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Dobromir Gongola took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelio Azibar. Aurelio Azibar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Alfredo Ordono hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Eleuterio Petri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Maurin in the 48th minute of play forced Mitre City FC's goalkeeper Aurelio Azibar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eustaquio Odilon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Dobromir Gongola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Odilon in the 53rd minute of play forced Pajalta FC's goalkeeper Eliseo Pirro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anastasio Maurin had several of the Mitre City FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 57 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Aurelio Azibar as he didn't even see the shot coming. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Dobromir Gongola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pajalta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dobromir Gongola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Azibar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the game, Anastasio Maurin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pajalta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mitre City FC the free kick. After 64 played minutes Pajalta FC got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Maurin. If Severino Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 minutes of play, Mitre City FC's Eleuterio Petri made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliseo Pirro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dobromir Gongola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes, Mitre City FC's Isidro Ramirez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliseo Pirro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mitre City FC reached it. The Mitre City FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Pajalta FC to win.
