The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 19 minutes into the match, Talleres's Júlio Ferraz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Richie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Eagleheart getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Razvan Ceausescu hit a great ball. The long shot by Júlio Ferraz in the 22nd minute really tested Zacarias Richie's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Angelo Ebardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Ermengol, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 39 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Costante. Remigio Ermengol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Angelo Ebardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júlio Ferraz to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Cristo Costante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remigio Ermengol charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remigio Ermengol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute of the match Domingos Hermelando shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zacarias Richie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Talleres booed when Eagleheart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Monico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Domingos Hermelando shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zacarias Richie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eagleheart's Remigio Ermengol got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eagleheart's Prospero Estebano was substituted for Adrian Ondino. Eagleheart were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
