Albino Hanot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albino Hanot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Hermelando in the 30th minute of play. Luis Oihan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Talleres! Augusto Foro charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augusto Foro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Angelo Ebardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 80 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Walme Capel. Palermo's Salvador Camerino got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 86 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Garoa. Salvador Camerino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Talleres getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alejo Garoa hit a great ball. The Talleres supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Talleres would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
