Paraná's Godfredo Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Veto in the 9th minute of play. Rodrigo Silvino hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Godfredo Ponc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Gabirel in the 21st minute of play. Barceloneta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ambrosio Pes in the 23rd minute. The corner led Barceloneta's Arnulfo Arce to a score. 0-3 in the 23rd minute. In the 27th match minute, Barceloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Oton to maneuver through the defense. Julio Nicholas had several of the Barceloneta's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Luisito Gaizkine as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Gaspar Gabirel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Marcial Veto made a precise shot to the right of Godfredo Ponc. Paraná's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Marcial Veto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 1-5 became the score in the 54th minute when Gaspar Gabirel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Gaspar Gabirel took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Godfredo Ponc to make any attempt to save it. Godfredo Ponc made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Gaspar Gabirel sent off a good shot on target. Godfredo Ponc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Silvino in the 68th minute of play. Paraná's Godfredo Ponc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Paraná from getting a goal against them. Gaspar Gabirel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcial Veto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Godfredo Ponc. That made the score 1-7 in the 77 minute of play. Elias Godoy hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Paraná's Severiano Silviano got a free kick in the 85th minute. Godfredo Ponc came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Barceloneta's Gaspar Gabirel. But to his dismay, Gaspar Gabirel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. Gaspar Gabirel didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-9 via right post in the game's 93rd minute. Barceloneta's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Barceloneta's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
