In the 11th minute, Patricio Rami got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, estrella del sur FC's Patricio Rami nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eustacio Calvet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sven-Arne Bergström hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Isaac Escobar's late challenge caught a Funebreros A.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaac Escobar helped the player get up and apologised. Isaac Escobar kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Miguel Palban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaudencio Leoncio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mambru Caspe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes, Funebreros A.C.'s Arturo Ordono shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaudencio Leoncio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Funebreros A.C. reached it. Gaudencio Leoncio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Palban in the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Patricio Rami made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, estrella del sur FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Galeno came free, but Gaudencio Leoncio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeledon Chap recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eustacio Calvet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Chap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96 minutes of play, Funebreros A.C.'s Matias Galeno made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaudencio Leoncio was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over Funebreros A.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than estrella del sur FC throughout the match.
