After 17 minutes of play, YPF Olivera's Adrian Laurendi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 39th minute Adrian Laurendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Sendoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godfredo Eneko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Cresconio in the 41st minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Vicente Benitez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. YPF Olivera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poblet FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, YPF Olivera's Vicente Benitez got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When Conrado Tartalo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the YPF Olivera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Tartalo couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Poblet FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Marco Farias hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the game, Gonzalo Filipo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Godfredo Eneko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romeo Sendoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conrado Tartalo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to YPF Olivera getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Isaac Inguma hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, YPF Olivera's Conrado Tartalo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeo Sendoa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Lucio Reno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Cresconio in the 91st minute of play forced YPF Olivera's goalkeeper Godfredo Eneko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Poblet FC were awarded a corner. Gonzalo Filipo went to the cornerflag to take it. Conrado Tartalo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, Poblet FC's Hector Cresconio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godfredo Eneko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. YPF Olivera's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Poblet FC had won, even though YPF Olivera had held more of the ball.
