Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zachariasz Zapolski in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gaspar Gaitan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. River Plate's zone, Genaro Egoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Loi came out of the goal and Genaro Egoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C.A. River Plate's Marco Loi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Sayvion in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of C.A. River Plate booed when Olascoaga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Hats didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Rafael Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olascoaga FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Rafael Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olascoaga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Loi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zachariasz Zapolski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Teo Sayvion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Marco Loi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Gaitan came out of the goal and Alejandro Dorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Teo Sayvion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olascoaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teo Sayvion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, C.A. River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Costa came free, but Marco Loi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Teo Sayvion kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Loi. That made the score 2-2 in the 63 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. River Plate's zone, Teo Sayvion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Loi came out of the goal and Teo Sayvion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Egoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Loi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Genaro Egoi ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, C.A. River Plate's Marco Loi got control of the ball when Rafael Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Marciano Emesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teo Sayvion came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Olascoaga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teo Sayvion couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Adan Gartzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of C.A. River Plate booed when Olascoaga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Hats didn't get a good kick on the ball. C.A. River Plate's attentive Epifanio Quilo managed to snatch the ball when Adan Gartzea made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Adan Gartzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute of the match Zachariasz Zapolski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaspar Gaitan skillfully saved the ball. C.A. River Plate succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Olascoaga FC had controlled the match.
