Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Derqui FC's Arsenio Asur in the 11th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Jaime Abel was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Atlético de Bariloche through an amazing save. Atlético de Bariloche's Jaime Abel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Chale in the 15th minute of play. Gavino Chale hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 23 minutes of play, Derqui FC's Cesar Errolan made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arsenio Asur to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Derqui FC's Arsenio Asur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The referee ignored Derqui FC's protests and gave Florencio Jerrold a yellow card for diving instead.
