Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Amado Criston kicked off to start the match. Fabio Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Columbo having to interfere. Raimundo Columbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Miliano, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. A collision led to Mangoré getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bernabe Erroman hit a great ball. Raimundo Columbo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Lorenz in the 11th minute of the match. When Gustavo Errando came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the F.C.La Plata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Errando couldn't finish the play. Ariel Niguel was shown his second yellow card after 17 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After the first half F.C.La Plata were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustavo Errando to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Cornelio Lorenz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Raimundo Columbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Errando in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Mangoré was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Erroman to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabio Romero during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mangoré's Raimundo Columbo realized he got lucky when he saw the ball passing the outside of the left post. F.C.La Plata's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
