Sever Lungu came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gallardeta's Clemente Egun. But to his dismay, Clemente Egun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sever Lungu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Egun went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 9 minutes into the match, Atlas La Otra Pasion's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Egun came free, but Sever Lungu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Bernabel got free with Edelmiro Iraido in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sever Lungu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Egun went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Gallardeta fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Gallardeta's Clemente Egun looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodosio Osmundo in the 25th minute of play forced Atlas La Otra Pasion's goalkeeper Sever Lungu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Clemente Egun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gallardeta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. After having played for 30 minutes, Clemente Egun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gallardeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Egun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sever Lungu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Osmundo in the 31st minute of play. When Carlos Bernabel came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Atlas La Otra Pasion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Bernabel couldn't finish the play. Gallardeta's Edelmiro Iraido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Gallardeta from getting a goal against them. Atlas La Otra Pasion's Sever Lungu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Egun in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Atlas La Otra Pasion defense, Teodosio Osmundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sever Lungu. The Atlas La Otra Pasion fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sever Lungu should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sever Lungu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Clemente Egun struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Sever Lungu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gallardeta. In the 76th minute of the match Gallardeta got a corner. Atlas La Otra Pasion's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luciano Tancredo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Clemente Egun to score against Sever Lungu in Atlas La Otra Pasion's goal. 1-8 after 76 minutes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clemente Egun in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sever Lungu saved Atlas La Otra Pasion from getting behind. Sever Lungu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodosio Osmundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes Atlas La Otra Pasion got a freekick which was hit by Armando Videl. Sever Lungu stood somewhat misplaced when Teodosio Osmundo came free in front of goal and shot 1-9 to the left of him in the 85 minute. Atlas La Otra Pasion's Sever Lungu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Atlas La Otra Pasion from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute, Atlas La Otra Pasion's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Clemente Egun fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Luciano Tancredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Lungu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atlas La Otra Pasion's Roque Rencio got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the match was over Gallardeta could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlas La Otra Pasion throughout the match.
