José's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofilo Eriz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 6th minute, Celestino Abeijon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofilo Eriz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Lucas Orlo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maximino Pero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Gaitano having to interfere. If Teofilo Eriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, José's Celestino Abeijon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Gaitano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Celestino Abeijon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelino Gaitano. Antofalla's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celestino Abeijon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 24 minutes into the game, Ceferino Nel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Angelino Gaitano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rigoberto Gorbea hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Lino Gonzalez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Orlo was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, José's Celestino Abeijon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelino Gaitano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Antofalla's Rigoberto Gorbea got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 43 played minutes Antofalla got a freekick which was hit by Honorio Montel. Angelino Gaitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Abeijon in the 46th minute of the match. The Antofalla players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. José were winning 1-3.

If Teofilo Eriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teofilo Eriz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelino Gaitano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Pero in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Antofalla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alejo Vitin was slow to take the kick. During this time José's players had a chance to rest. Octavio Roldanillo hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Antofalla's Ciro Perez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to José getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Honorato Casado hit a great ball. Angelino Gaitano made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Maximino Pero sent off a good shot on target. Angelino Gaitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Abeijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The José players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
