Julio Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Van Halen's Hermengildo Moise got a free kick in the 7th minute. Teofilo Eriz took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Santana. Julio Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to Antofalla getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ciro Perez hit a great ball. 1-2 became the score in the 14th minute when Mario Haritzeder elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorio Montel during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Gonzalez in the 20th minute of play forced Van Halen's goalkeeper Julio Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelino Gaitano was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Mario Haritzeder capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mario Haritzeder really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Mario Haritzeder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th match minute, Van Halen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casimiro Jerardo to maneuver through the defense. Teofilo Eriz struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Julio Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antofalla. Mario Haritzeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Angelino Gaitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Montel in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Lucas Isusko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Montel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lino Gonzalez struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Julio Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antofalla. In the 46th minute, Teofilo Eriz made a precise shot to the right of Julio Santana. Van Halen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The Van Halen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Antofalla were winning 2-3.

After having played for 52 minutes, Casimiro Jerardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Van Halen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casimiro Jerardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lucas Isusko came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Van Halen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Isusko couldn't finish the play. Lucas Isusko took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelino Gaitano. Angelino Gaitano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Lucas Isusko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelino Gaitano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Isusko in the 73rd minute of play. Julio Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Van Halen's Julio Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Gonzalez in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Antofalla's Conrado Hitzeder got a free kick in the 81st minute. Casimiro Jerardo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Moise was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Van Halen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antofalla the free kick. Hermengildo Moise kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Julio Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Gonzalez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Antofalla's Julio Santana threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lino Gonzalez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Antofalla had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
