Angelino Gaitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Liberto in the 10th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Teofilo Eriz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of club atletico lanus's Leandro Niguel. Teofilo Eriz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogelio Mendiko kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for club atletico lanus! Ciro Perez walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Teofilo Eriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Leandro Niguel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Niguel didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Teofilo Eriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Niguel having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aristides Roano to strike the kick off in the second half. When Aristides Roano fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored club atletico lanus's protests and gave Aristides Roano a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Liberto got free with Angelino Gaitano in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute Honorio Montel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Niguel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antofalla walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
