To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Ferman came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobocó AFC's Murilo Secco. But to his dismay, Murilo Secco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Murilo Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Ferman having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cangrejos AFC's zone, Erauso Redonet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Ferman came out of the goal and Erauso Redonet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Obano in the 23rd minute of play forced Lobocó AFC's goalkeeper Anselmo Nerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Ferman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Eduardo Ramone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Lobocó AFC's Erauso Redonet sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonardo Ferman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anselmo Nerio was a little too slow when Anier Obano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-1. After some careless play in the Lobocó AFC defense, Erasmo Llorenc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anselmo Nerio. The Lobocó AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anselmo Nerio should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murilo Secco was the one to do the kick off. After 54 minutes, Eduardo Ramone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lobocó AFC and the Cangrejos AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
