Saul Cresenciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Horqueta AFC a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Silvano Calixto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Universitario's Dionisio Goiz. 0-1. In the 14th minute Maximiliano Matxin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Goiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonio Raymond in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saul Cresenciano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Horqueta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Raymond came free, but Saul Cresenciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Horqueta AFC's goalkeeper Saul Cresenciano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Raymond. Antonio Raymond struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Saul Cresenciano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Universitario. Hugo Steven blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saul Cresenciano having to make a save. 38 minutes into the match, Horqueta AFC's goalkeeper Saul Cresenciano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Raymond. A hard shot 41 in the game by Antonio Raymond from a close distance when the talented Saul Cresenciano managed to make a qualified save. Horqueta AFC's players were relieved. Antonio Raymond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Steven's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Cresenciano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After some careless play in the Universitario defense, Maximiliano Matxin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dionisio Goiz. The Universitario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dionisio Goiz should have stopped the shot. Zacarias Transito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Saul Cresenciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Raymond in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saul Cresenciano saved Horqueta AFC from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Horqueta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Steven came free, but Saul Cresenciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Santos Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Horqueta AFC's Jimeno Dunixi got a free kick in the 66th minute. After having played for 68 minutes, Hugo Steven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Universitario's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Steven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zacarias Transito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonio Raymond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Cresenciano having to interfere. Saul Cresenciano came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Universitario's Hugo Steven. But to his dismay, Hugo Steven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Dionisio Goiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Dunixi in the 78th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Horqueta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Damian Etxepare. In the 82ndth minute of the game Antonio Raymond who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horqueta AFC's Saul Cresenciano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Saul Cresenciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Raymond in the 88th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Universitario got a freekick which was hit by Zacarias Transito. After a rather tough play, Horqueta AFC's Hector Nuno got a free kick in the 91st minute. Although Universitario had been in control for most of the match, Horqueta AFC still came away with the win.
