Rolando Abeitia took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Guib. Victor Guib dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Angelo Tab took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Claudio Gabon to make any attempt to save it. Felipe Eleazar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Guib. Rickyteam's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Rolando Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Amador Gelmiro came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Cullen AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Gelmiro couldn't finish the play. If Rolando Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the game, Albino Calixto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Victor Guib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ceferino Rico kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ceferino Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Gabon having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Angelo Tab managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rickyteam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Tab was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Cullen AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Amador Gelmiro hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Abeitia was the one to do the kick off. In the 76th minute of the match Cullen AFC got a corner. Rickyteam's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After having played for 79 minutes, Angelo Tab managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Claudio Gabon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cullen AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
