Leonardo Dominic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. atenas fc's Emanuel Kaiet got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Mariusz Sawicki could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Leonardo Dominic however easily saved by the left post. Leonardo Dominic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Barea, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to Escalada getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Santos Delfino hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, atenas fc's Edelmiro Barea broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jimmie Björkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th match minute, Escalada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Romo to maneuver through the defense. Jimmie Björkman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Dominic having to interfere. Edelmiro Barea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santos Delfino charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santos Delfino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Escalada's Santos Delfino got a free kick in the 36th minute. Edelmiro Barea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leonardo Dominic came out and tried to block the shot, but Edelmiro Barea slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 38th minute. Leonardo Dominic was a little too slow when Edelmiro Barea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-0. 48 minutes into the match, Escalada's goalkeeper Leonardo Dominic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimmie Björkman. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prospero Romo was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Angelino Goyo managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Escalada's Prospero Romo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Jimmie Björkman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Dominic was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the match, Escalada's Bernabe Cebo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelino Goyo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Prospero Romo scored 3-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelino Goyo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Barea in the 67th minute of play forced Escalada's goalkeeper Leonardo Dominic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmie Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Leonardo Dominic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Emanuel Kaiet managed to get in a good position for a shot. atenas fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Kaiet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Dominic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonardo Dominic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Barea, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Edelmiro Barea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonardo Dominic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Edelmiro Barea managed to get in a good position for a shot. atenas fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Edelmiro Barea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Dominic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. atenas fc fully deserved thier win.
