Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Leon Erruki who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Tomas Etxahun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Horquilla AFC's Mauricio Jaen got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Julio Henry came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Chumbicha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Henry couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Horquilla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Haimar came free, but Ismael Jerold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes Horquilla AFC got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Polentzi. Silvestre Haimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Etxahun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leon Erruki in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Carmelo Kauldi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Horquilla AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chumbicha the free kick. After a rather tough play, Horquilla AFC's Carmelo Kauldi got a free kick in the 18th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Silvestre Haimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chumbicha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Haimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Jerold didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julio Henry went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chumbicha! After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Leon Erruki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horquilla AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Erruki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Etxahun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mauricio Jaen struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Tomas Etxahun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horquilla AFC. 47 minutes into the game, Modesto Polentzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Horquilla AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chumbicha the free kick. A collision led to Horquilla AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Modesto Polentzi hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julio Henry made a kick off. Mauricio Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Tomas Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leon Erruki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauricio Jaen in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Etxahun saved Chumbicha from getting behind. Horquilla AFC's Ismael Jerold proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Horquilla AFC from getting a goal against them. Chumbicha's Tomas Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Erruki in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Mauricio Jaen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Arotza during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bruno Arotza hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Chumbicha defense, Mauricio Jaen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomas Etxahun. The Chumbicha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomas Etxahun should have stopped the shot. After 69 played minutes Horquilla AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Abilio. After having played for 80 minutes, Leon Erruki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horquilla AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Erruki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Etxahun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Jaen in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Chumbicha's zone, Leon Erruki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Etxahun came out of the goal and Leon Erruki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Horquilla AFC's Mauricio Jaen managed to work through Chumbicha's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mauricio Jaen dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Horquilla AFC's Mauricio Jaen in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chumbicha's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chumbicha's zone, Leon Erruki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomas Etxahun came out of the goal and Leon Erruki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
