Gaston Tavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Edwardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Gaston Tavio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Vidal in the 25th minute of the match. Gaston Tavio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafin Vidal went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peñico AFC's goalkeeper Gaston Tavio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th match minute, Club Atletico Zelaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Guib to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Zelaya's zone, Natalio Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franco Arman came out of the goal and Natalio Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pablo Barros hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natalio Machado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Natalio Machado got free with Franco Arman in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th match minute, Club Atletico Zelaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edelmiro Gipuzkoa to maneuver through the defense. Peñico AFC's Gaston Tavio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Vidal in the 82nd minute of play. Gualterio Lain scored 4-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaston Tavio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Atletico Zelaya's Alberto Montrelle was substituted for Gualterio Lain. Franco Arman came out of the goal and Natalio Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Atletico Zelaya had won after a very even match.
