A collision led to Colón AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Christian Etxekopar hit a great ball. Marciano Abella struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Valentin Perfecto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venancio. Hilario Fonda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Venceslao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Feliberto Veto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venancio's Hilario Fonda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Venceslao in the 38th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Andresito Iniesta put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Valentin Perfecto. Ceferino Venceslao took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Fonda. Hilario Fonda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ceferino Venceslao made the kick off in the second half. Ceferino Venceslao's late challenge caught a Venancio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ceferino Venceslao helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Colón AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Venceslao. With 66 minutes on the clock, Elvio Cutberto commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Venancio made a substitution. Lucio Iraido replaced Andresito Iniesta. Venancio's Maximiliano Sol was substituted for Paulino Aztore. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venancio fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Venancio:s Hilario Fonda showed great skill when he stopped Feliberto Veto:s penalty. Hilario Fonda made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Ceferino Venceslao sent off a good shot on target. Justino Cordara might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Perfecto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justino Cordara ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 80 minutes, Domingo Montes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venancio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Montes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Colón AFC booed when Venancio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper Geerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Perfecto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Montes in the 85th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Colón AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Elorri. Colón AFC's Valentin Perfecto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casper Geerts in the 99th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Venancio lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
