Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Saverio Ostadar got the match started through his kick off. Colón AFC's Feliberto Veto managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Wilfredo Su in the 4 minute of the game. Alfredo Elorri succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 4th playminute. Alfredo Elorri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ceferino Venceslao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evelio Martxel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, San Martin's Evelio Martxel got control of the ball when Feliberto Veto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Evelio Martxel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 22 minutes into the match, San Martin's goalkeeper Evelio Martxel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Elorri. Ceferino Venceslao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Martxel having to interfere. With a little luck, San Martin's Evelio Martxel got control of the ball when Alfredo Elorri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evelio Martxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Venceslao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute, Saverio Ostadar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Martin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Ulises Nuno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Perfecto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Ostadar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evelio Martxel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Venceslao in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ceferino Venceslao to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceferino Venceslao in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evelio Martxel saved San Martin from getting behind. The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Mauro Luken put in a rough tackle. 55 minutes into the game, one of San Martin:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Colón AFC a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Feliberto Veto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of San Martin's Evelio Martxel. 4-2. After having played for 60 minutes, Ceferino Venceslao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colón AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceferino Venceslao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Elorri struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Evelio Martxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colón AFC. After some careless play in the San Martin defense, Ceferino Venceslao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evelio Martxel. The San Martin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evelio Martxel should have stopped the shot. Evelio Martxel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ceferino Venceslao went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score. After 74 played minutes Colón AFC got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Veto. 77 minutes into the match, San Martin's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Elorri came free, but Evelio Martxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. San Martin's Alvaro Cordarin was substituted for Ulises Nuno. After 79 played minutes San Martin got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Guillelmo. Evelio Martxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Elorri, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Feliberto Veto took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evelio Martxel. Evelio Martxel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. The supporters of San Martin booed when Colón AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Elorri didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Su was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Martin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colón AFC the free kick. In the 89thth minute of the game Ceferino Venceslao who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Martin's Evelio Martxel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Elorri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evelio Martxel was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Evelio Martxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Venceslao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colón AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
