With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evelio Martxel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andresito Iniesta kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Andresito Iniesta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Andresito Iniesta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evelio Martxel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, San Martin's Mauro Luken got a free kick in the 35th minute. Marciano Abella kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Venancio's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Nuno came free, but Hilario Fonda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Guillelmo's late challenge caught a Venancio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Guillelmo helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes San Martin got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Guillelmo. After 48 played minutes San Martin got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Luken. In the 49th minute of the match Marciano Abella shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evelio Martxel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Andresito Iniesta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Evelio Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Evelio Martxel managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Venancio's Andresito Iniesta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Evelio Martxel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andresito Iniesta in the 65th minute. A collision led to San Martin getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Tomas Guillelmo hit a great ball. Venancio made a substitution. Lucio Iraido replaced Andresito Iniesta. Maximiliano Sol struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Evelio Martxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venancio. Venancio played a much better game than San Martin and deserved their victory. The San Martin players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
