Ciriaco Txema's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Natalio Chap read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Leguizamón booed when DEPORTIVO MERLO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Eriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silverio Fertus couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the game, one of Leguizamón:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Leguizamón's Luisito Fresco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Leguizamón from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute Uriel Marquez suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Cirilo Etxepare fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
