Roberto Txordon might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodosio Haimar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Txordon ran back to his position shaking his head. Riachuelo Surfers FC's Urbano Gelacio got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Riachuelo Surfers FC booed when Cabinda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Nicholas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Txema Esteban managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riachuelo Surfers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Txema Esteban was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodosio Haimar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urbano Gelacio's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Riachuelo Surfers FC's zone, Freddy Benvide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Santana came out of the goal and Freddy Benvide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodosio Haimar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldas Gimbutas in the 47th minute of the match. The Cabinda AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Riachuelo Surfers FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Mario Cordarius made the kick off in the second half. Emiliano Ler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Teodosio Haimar made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Cabinda AFC's Candido Oskitz got a free kick in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Cabinda AFC's Teodosio Haimar got control of the ball when Emiliano Ler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mario Cordarius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
