Atilano Urki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Giro in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Emilio Timo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atilano Urki. León AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Timo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in León AFC's zone, Emilio Timo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Urki came out of the goal and Emilio Timo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 played minutes León AFC got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Jaunzuria. Leo Giro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilano Urki having to interfere. Leo Giro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Guter hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the game, Leo Giro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Atilano Urki. Leo Giro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 27 minutes, Leo Giro made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. León AFC's Atilano Urki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. León AFC's Atilano Urki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save León AFC from getting a goal against them. Atilano Urki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Mitxaut went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Marcelo Mitxaut in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Atilano Urki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Baltasar Rik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Janpier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Giro made a kick off. In the 54th minute Los Matadores FC were awarded a corner. Leo Giro went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Los Matadores FC's corner Leo Giro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Atilano Urki quite easily take care of the ball. León AFC's Atilano Urki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Mitxaut in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, León AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Errapel to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, León AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Giro came free, but Atilano Urki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marcelo Mitxaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 69 minutes of play, Los Matadores FC's Marcelo Mitxaut made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Atilano Urki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcelo Mitxaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Mitxaut in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atilano Urki saved León AFC from getting behind. If Virgilio Janpier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Giro in the 94th minute of play forced León AFC's goalkeeper Atilano Urki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Leo Giro came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Los Matadores FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Giro couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Los Matadores FC were the better team. Los Matadores FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
