Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Carolina's Ambrosio Benvido started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anastasio Txomin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Odilon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carolina's Anastasio Txomin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Odilon in the 7th minute of play. Anastasio Txomin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Servando in the 8th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Guanacache:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carolina:s goal. The goalkeeper, Evaristo Ferrer, was totally fooled by Carolina's Alberto Horado, who 12 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Freddy Servando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Txomin having to interfere. A collision led to Guanacache getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Isaac Lauren hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Ambrosio Benvido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 33rd play minutes Segundo Reyes shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Evaristo Ferrer and just under the crossbar into goal. Guanacache's Freddy Servando got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Guanacache getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Leopoldo Marquez hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Alberto Horado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carolina's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Horado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Ferrer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Dimas kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeledon Odilon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Carolina's Segundo Reyes got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After having played for 54 minutes, Zeledon Odilon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guanacache's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Odilon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute, one of Guanacache:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guanacache. Alberto Horado shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Segundo Reyes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Evaristo Ferrer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Carolina booed when Guanacache was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Tadzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ambrosio Benvido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Ferrer having to interfere. Evaristo Ferrer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrosio Benvido in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Ambrosio Benvido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Ferrer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Segundo Reyes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evaristo Ferrer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Benvido in the 74th minute of play forced Guanacache's goalkeeper Evaristo Ferrer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ambrosio Benvido scored 4-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evaristo Ferrer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Freddy Servando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guanacache's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddy Servando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Txomin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ambrosio Benvido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Benvido in the 92nd minute of play forced Guanacache's goalkeeper Evaristo Ferrer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Carolina's Alberto Horado tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Guanacache booed when Carolina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Servando didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Carolina were the better team. Carolina's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
