Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juan Urko started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Centenario FC's Armando Loramendi got a free kick in the 5th minute. The long shot by Dario Udalaitz in the 12th minute really tested Timoteo Celipe's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Centenario FC booed when Sabagasta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Nalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ceferino Lauro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Timoteo Celipe. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. The supporters of Centenario FC booed when Sabagasta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Otsoko didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 played minutes Sabagasta got a freekick which was hit by Leon Florinio. Centenario FC's Mauricio Mitxaut got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Timoteo Celipe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Lauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelino Mikelar might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alonzo James. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelino Mikelar ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelino Mikelar struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Alonzo James didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabagasta. Mauricio Mitxaut came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Timoteo Celipe could save by the left post. After 44 played minutes, Sabagasta's Aquilino Paez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alonzo James came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sabagasta reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ceferino Lauro to make the kick off. Timoteo Celipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Lauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Juan Urko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonzo James read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Timoteo Celipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Mitxaut, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Juan Urko took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Alonzo James to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 64 minutes, Mauricio Mitxaut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Centenario FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Mitxaut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Leopoldo Otsoko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelino Mikelar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alonzo James was a little too slow when Juan Urko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 2-2. Marcelino Mikelar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Alonzo James tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leopoldo Otsoko fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sabagasta's protests and gave Leopoldo Otsoko a yellow card for diving instead. Alonzo James made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Urko in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Juan Urko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alonzo Nalo kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, Sabagasta failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
