After 17 minutes, Marcos Perrando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leztat FC and the Gimnasia y Esgrima 1908 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcos Perrando hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Sam Heberle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Geofredo having to interfere. Cirilo Geofredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Unax in the 39th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Sam Heberle in the 40th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Sam Heberle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sam Heberle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Leztat FC's goalkeeper Cirilo Geofredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sam Heberle. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sam Heberle to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Leztat FC booed when Gimnasia y Esgrima 1908 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Beat hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 89 minutes of play, Gimnasia y Esgrima 1908's Fabricio Cidro made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cirilo Geofredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gimnasia y Esgrima 1908 fully deserved thier win.
