Saul Nesto might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paolo Bernabel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saul Nesto ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrique Euloxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Tartalo having to interfere. Clodoveo Tartalo came out of the goal and Filomeno Gasteiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Arribeños's Florentino Txatxu got a free kick in the 19th minute. Enrique Euloxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Tartalo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Moores's zone, Filomeno Gasteiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clodoveo Tartalo came out of the goal and Filomeno Gasteiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Salvador Omero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Paolo Bernabel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Clodoveo Tartalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Gasteiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Saul Nesto made a kick off. If Saul Nesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filomeno Gasteiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leandro Gentza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Tartalo having to interfere. Enrique Euloxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Tartalo having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Arribeños's Enrique Euloxu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clodoveo Tartalo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Arribeños's Leandro Gentza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Clodoveo Tartalo. That made the score 0-1 after 74 minutes of play. Clodoveo Tartalo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Gentza's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Moores fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! Clodoveo Tartalo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Gentza in the 98th minute.
