With a little luck, Monteverde's Celestino Etxekopar got control of the ball when Norberto Hulberto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 12 minutes, Celedonio Aritza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlas F.C and the Monteverde players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atlas F.C's Celedonio Aritza got a free kick in the 12th minute. Mauricio Corderun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 23rd minute of the match Celedonio Aritza completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Celedonio Aritza a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Celedonio Aritza hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Norberto Hulberto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Celestino Etxekopar came out and tried to block the shot, but Norberto Hulberto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. Monteverde's Celestino Etxekopar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Monteverde from getting a goal against them. Ricardo Olando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Etxekopar having to interfere. Higinio Bela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Ofelio's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Atlas F.C's Fernando Urtungo got a free kick in the 44th minute. Emilio Ofelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Bela having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulino Haritz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Atlas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Haritz came free, but Higinio Bela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulino Haritz had several of the Atlas F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 55 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Higinio Bela as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 60th minute, Reynaldo Dabi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clodoveo Xacintu struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Celestino Etxekopar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlas F.C. Atlas F.C's Higinio Bela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Atlas F.C from getting a goal against them. Mauricio Corderun kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Higinio Bela made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Emilio Ofelio sent off a good shot on target. Higinio Bela acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ermegildo Ruy. A hard shot by Ermegildo Ruy from long distance, 85 minutes into the match, got Higinio Bela's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
