Herminio Elazar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 9th playminute. 14 minutes into the match, Jack Daniels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Lauro came free, but Joaquin Belarmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the game's 29th minute Jack Daniels FC's Delmiro Cloyo took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Cosme Boni and thus the score was 4-0. Patricio Abaunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Joaquin Belarmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Salbatore kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. When Anibal Montrelle fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jack Daniels FC's protests and gave Anibal Montrelle a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jack Daniels FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Patricio Abaunza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 78 minutes, Zeledon Lauro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holmberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Lauro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ricardo Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Holmberg's Cosme Boni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Quiroga in the 83rd minute of play. Cosme Boni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Quiroga in the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Ricardo Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Boni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Belarmo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonides Chago in the 95th minute. Jack Daniels FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
