But to his dismay, Apolo Eder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 7 played minutes Manager Zone Crew got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Orlondo. After some careless play in the Manager Zone Crew defense, Lino Cucao kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Favila. The Manager Zone Crew fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Favila should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute, Gustavo Jakobe made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Favila. Manager Zone Crew's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Apolo Eder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Favila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Cucao in the 23rd minute of the match. Constantino Orlondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Paulo Favila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Gustavo Jakobe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Paulo Favila was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eustacio Suero made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Faustino Ruy sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Apolo Eder made the kick off in the second half. Paulo Favila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Barros in the 60th minute. Paulo Favila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Cucao, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Ermegildo Goiz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Gonçalo Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Favila having to interfere.
