When the match had been going on for 14 minutes, Pintos's Fabian Foro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Marcelo Arias. A collision led to Devoto FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Carmelo Iratzeder hit a great ball. Marcelo Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Foro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Carlomagno hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After 36 played minutes Devoto FC got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Iratzeder. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Devoto FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabian Foro was slow to take the kick. During this time Pintos's players had a chance to rest. 42 minutes into the game, Pintos's Desiderio Ospin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Arias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabian Foro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Foro in the 54th minute of play forced Devoto FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Foro in the 59th minute of the match. Devoto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabian Foro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The Pintos fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Pintos's Fabian Foro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcelo Arias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desiderio Ospin's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Fabian Foro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Arias was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. 86 minutes into the game, Desiderio Ospin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Marcelo Arias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pintos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
