Domingos Esquipula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Leobardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Marquesado's goalkeeper Arnulfo Telesforo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amado Abeita. In the 11th match minute, Puestito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Joanes to maneuver through the defense. Marquesado's Angelino Leobardo got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Teo Enaut was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puestito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marquesado the free kick. After a rather tough play, Puestito's Teo Enaut got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute of the match Gualterio Ihintza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domingos Esquipula showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 16 minutes of play, Marquesado's Angelino Leobardo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingos Esquipula was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rosendo Cordero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Arnulfo Telesforo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Esquipula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Leobardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domingos Esquipula showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Puestito's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Calisto came free, but Domingos Esquipula reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Marquesado's goalkeeper Arnulfo Telesforo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Claus. Domingos Esquipula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Chorache in the 43rd minute of the match. When Amado Abeita came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Puestito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Abeita couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Godofredo Calisto made the kick off in the second half.
