Sunampa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejandro Mark was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 30 minutes of play, Sunampa's Bernabe Froylan made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Custódio Vinhas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Mark in the 35th minute of play forced Sunampa's goalkeeper Vicente Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cleto Nuno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cleto Nuno's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Flavio Erasto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Erasto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Cleto Nuno who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Vicente Barbosa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of las leonas de los hornos booed when Sunampa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Balesio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cleto Nuno kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Vicente Barbosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cleto Nuno in the 61st minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Cleto Nuno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sunampa's Vicente Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raimundo Madaleno struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Vicente Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for las leonas de los hornos. Vicente Barbosa was a little too slow when Cleto Nuno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 76th minute Bernabe Froylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Custódio Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sunampa's Vicente Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Madaleno in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, las leonas de los hornos's Flavio Erasto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Barbosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vicente Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Madaleno in the 93rd minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Cesar Oier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunampa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesar Oier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Custódio Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Froylan in the 99th minute of play. When the match was over las leonas de los hornos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sunampa throughout the match.
