Ramiro Lauro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aírton do Nascimento showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Queen Park Rangers's Ramiro Lauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Etxepare in the 30th minute of play. In the 36th minute Lucio Etxepare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Lauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aírton do Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Ramiro Lauro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax FC de Argentina. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Osielski got free with Ramiro Lauro in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Osielski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
