The Yacanto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Yacanto booed when Mercedes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Colon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Lekubegi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Cristobal Roano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Lázaro Lazcano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercedes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lázaro Lazcano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lázaro Lazcano came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Mercedes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lázaro Lazcano couldn't finish the play. Mercedes FC's Cristobal Roano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Montrelle in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Freddy Charro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yacanto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Lázaro Lazcano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernando Playo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Anacleto Kelemen charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anacleto Kelemen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mercedes FC's Anacleto Kelemen got a free kick in the 45th minute. The Mercedes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yacanto were winning 0-3.

Cristobal Roano made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Freddy Charro sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Yacanto getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gustavo Lekubegi hit a great ball. If Jose Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Charro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the match, Mercedes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Charro came free, but Cristobal Roano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lázaro Lazcano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fernando Playo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Playo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celedonio Colon in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute Celedonio Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Playo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes FC's zone, Jose Montrelle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Roano came out of the goal and Jose Montrelle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Freddy Charro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cristobal Roano, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Mercedes FC's Cristobal Roano got control of the ball when Jose Montrelle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jose Montrelle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Freddy Charro let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 81st minute shot 0-4 at rihgt post. If Jose Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Charro struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Cristobal Roano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yacanto. Cristobal Roano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Charro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yacanto eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
