Hugo Clis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Joseph, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Luciano Enekoitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zbigniew Burdalski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Melquiades Valiente hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Piratas FC's Hugo Clis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Bernea in the 22nd minute of play. If Melquiades Valiente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melquiades Valiente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Zbigniew Burdalski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Piratas FC's Melquiades Valiente got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severino Araoz hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Marcelo Lauro got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Valiente in the 43rd minute of play forced C.D. Hispano Americano's goalkeeper Zbigniew Burdalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melquiades Valiente might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zbigniew Burdalski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Melquiades Valiente ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Narcis Bernea made a kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Candido Joseph was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.D. Hispano Americano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piratas FC the free kick. In the 50th minute, Candido Joseph hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Melquiades Valiente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.D. Hispano Americano's Zbigniew Burdalski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Lauro in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes C.D. Hispano Americano got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Puch. Marcelo Lauro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbigniew Burdalski having to interfere. Piratas FC's Melquiades Valiente got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, C.D. Hispano Americano's Flavio Iraunkor got a free kick in the 78th minute. Zbigniew Burdalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Lauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucjan Puch was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Piratas FC's Jacinto Peruanton was substituted for Jairo Guerau. After a rather tough play, C.D. Hispano Americano's Lucjan Puch got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Florentino Ado kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.D. Hispano Americano's goalkeeper Zbigniew Burdalski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Melquiades Valiente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, C.D. Hispano Americano's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Peruanton came free, but Zbigniew Burdalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Piratas FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
