Notts County's Paulo Iratzeder couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sportivo Don Satur. After a defensive mix-up in Notts County's zone, Ciriaco Iban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gervasio Salomone came out of the goal and Ciriaco Iban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pastor Hernando struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Gervasio Salomone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Don Satur. Jimeno Milio's late challenge caught a Sportivo Don Satur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jimeno Milio helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Gervasio Salomone, was totally fooled by Sportivo Don Satur's Ciriaco Iban, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ciriaco Iban's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Gervasio Salomone skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gervasio Salomone made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ciriaco Iban sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 25 minutes, Ricardo Frans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Don Satur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Frans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gervasio Salomone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciriaco Iban in the 27th minute. If Ciriaco Iban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Sportivo Don Satur got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Hernando. 42 minutes into the game, Hipolito Txindoki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Notts County's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportivo Don Satur the free kick. The supporters of Sportivo Don Satur booed when Notts County was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Txindoki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pastor Hernando succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 44th playminute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciriaco Iban to make the kick off. Oddbjørn Berthelsen charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oddbjørn Berthelsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Notts County getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Oddbjørn Berthelsen hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Iban in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervasio Salomone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gervasio Salomone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciriaco Iban in the 65th minute of the match. Hugo Theobald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Oriol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sportivo Don Satur's Ricardo Frans got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicolas Ikatz hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Notts County's Severino Chucho was substituted for Ovidio Otsoa. In the 81st match minute, Notts County was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Ikatz to maneuver through the defense. Cirilo Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Salomone having to interfere. Gervasio Salomone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Frans in the 88th minute of the match. Gervasio Salomone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Iban in the 89th minute of play. Gervasio Salomone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Hernando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Bernabe Ishmael notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sportivo Don Satur's Hugo Theobald. Hugo Theobald was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sportivo Don Satur's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
