In the 13thth minute of the game Radomir Komornicki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ascensión AFC's Tobias Diagur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tobias Diagur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Komornicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of Club Atletico Wawing booed when Ascensión AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Ascensión AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Radomir Komornicki came free, but Tobias Diagur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radomir Komornicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Diagur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomir Komornicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomir Komornicki in the 23rd minute of play forced Ascensión AFC's goalkeeper Tobias Diagur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes of play, Ascensión AFC's Angel Flor made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Carlomagno was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radomir Komornicki in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobias Diagur saved Ascensión AFC from getting behind. Celso Carlomagno was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Eustacio Banegas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eustacio Banegas really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Teodoro Mambru took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tobias Diagur. Tobias Diagur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Flor to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Banegas in the 53rd minute of play forced Club Atletico Wawing's goalkeeper Celso Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Carlomagno came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Ascensión AFC's Angel Flor. But to his dismay, Angel Flor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Teodoro Mambru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Diagur having to interfere. Ascensión AFC's Tobias Diagur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Ascensión AFC from getting a goal against them. Radomir Komornicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Diagur having to interfere. Ricardo Herena hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Radomir Komornicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute Teodoro Mambru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Diagur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelino Pedroso's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Wawing's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelino Pedroso helped the player get up and apologised. Ascensión AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radomir Komornicki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. Eustacio Banegas charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustacio Banegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 84th minute, Eustacio Banegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radomir Komornicki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Tobias Diagur made a huge save. After some careless play in the Club Atletico Wawing defense, Eustacio Banegas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Celso Carlomagno. The Club Atletico Wawing fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Celso Carlomagno should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ascensión AFC had won after a very even match.
