Americo Artaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Mikelats having to interfere. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balcozna FC's goalkeeper Severo Obeko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cienaguita's zone, Americo Artaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Mikelats came out of the goal and Americo Artaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Balcozna FC's Nereo Fix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafin Mikelats narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Balcozna FC's Severo Obeko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Balcozna FC from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, 高西军 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serafin Mikelats was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Cienaguita booed when Balcozna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho França didn't get a good kick on the ball. Americo Artaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serafin Mikelats. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Americo Artaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. Nereo Fix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Serafin Mikelats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cienaguita's Ramiro Oliverios got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cienaguita's zone, Nereo Fix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Mikelats came out of the goal and Nereo Fix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Balcozna FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nereo Fix to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Balcozna FC got a corner. Cienaguita's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 高西军 ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in 高西军 almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cienaguita's Serafin Mikelats did a great save. Serafin Mikelats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Americo Artaldo in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Nereo Fix made a precise shot to the right of Serafin Mikelats. Cienaguita's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Rolando Jaizki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Obeko having to interfere. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balcozna FC's goalkeeper Severo Obeko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 高西军 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Mikelats having to interfere. The Balcozna FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Balcozna FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
