Jacobo Mon kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Anibal Naelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zárate's Marcial Jordy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 7 played minutes Zárate got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Mon. Anibal Naelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcial Jordy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Cordaro in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anibal Naelio in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Jordy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20thth minute of the game Anibal Naelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zárate's Marcial Jordy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Zárate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Mon to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Zárate's Sergio Lertxun got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 31st minute, Samuel Cordaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcial Jordy was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Zárate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Chanchu FC the free kick. The supporters of El Chanchu FC booed when Zárate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Mon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Cordaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Marcial Jordy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

52 minutes into the match, Zárate's goalkeeper Marcial Jordy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anibal Naelio. After 53 played minutes Zárate got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Nardo. If Samuel Cordaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Anibal Naelio took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Marcial Jordy to make any attempt to save it. Anibal Naelio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Jordy having to make a save. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Cordaro couldn't finish the play. Marcial Jordy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anibal Naelio's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. After having played for 89 minutes, Anibal Naelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Chanchu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Naelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anibal Naelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Zárate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. El Chanchu FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
