Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Saturnino Arlo started the match with the kick off. If Delmar Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 6 minutes, Endre Rácz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. El Salteño's Genaro Gai tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 9 played minutes El Salteño got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Innocenzio. Delmar Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genaro Gai having to interfere. Delmar Franco struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Genaro Gai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Academico. Donato Fortun took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Genaro Gai. Genaro Gai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Donato Fortun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Marcelo Innocenzio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Delmar Franco came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Real Academico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delmar Franco couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Donato Fortun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genaro Gai was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Marcelo Innocenzio got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to El Salteño getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Marcelo Innocenzio hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Delmar Franco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Academico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Delmar Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Gai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Fortun, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute, Delmar Franco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Academico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The El Salteño players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Academico were winning 0-4.

Donato Fortun's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Genaro Gai skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Delmar Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Genaro Gai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Francisco Gar fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salteño's protests and gave Francisco Gar a yellow card for diving instead. Francisco Gar kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. With a little luck, El Salteño's Genaro Gai got control of the ball when Donato Fortun tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Arlo in the 82nd minute of play forced Real Academico's goalkeeper Antoni Ptaszek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmar Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Genaro Gai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Genaro Gai didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donato Fortun went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. In the 93rd play minute Donato Fortun came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Genaro Gai. 0-8. In the 96th minute Delmar Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Gai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
