Thanks to some nice moves Matias Hernandez could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Ciro Esdras however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Magdalena's zone, Amador Tohias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Naelio came out of the goal and Amador Tohias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Magdalena's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Sotero came free, but Domingos Naelio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matias Hernandez's late challenge caught a Cachiyuyo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matias Hernandez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Magdalena's Matias Hernandez got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Roque Tirso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Magdalena's Domingos Naelio didn't even have to move. The supporters of Cachiyuyo AFC booed when Magdalena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Isias didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Dalmacio Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ciro Esdras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cachiyuyo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Sugar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Magdalena's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
