Victor Rufio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Nuno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardino Vachon hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Benedicto Cefero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Alejandro Nisio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Victor Rufio made a huge save. 33 minutes into the match, Samuel Nuno notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Els Moc Cules Futbol Club's Victor Rufio. Victor Rufio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, Alejandro Nisio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Els Moc Cules Futbol Club's zone, Samuel Nuno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Rufio came out of the goal and Samuel Nuno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Samuel Nuno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Astor Frederico made a precise shot to the right of Artemio Socorro. Chavarría's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Astor Frederico to strike the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Artemio Naike in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chavarría's Camilo Laurentzi. Artemio Naike charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artemio Naike the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Samuel Nuno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Chavarría's Ermegildo Lluterio got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ermegildo Lluterio came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Chavarría fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ermegildo Lluterio couldn't finish the play. Samuel Nuno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Rufio having to interfere. Benedicto Cefero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Rufio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Astor Frederico had to leave the field with a concussion. Gaspar Araoz's late challenge caught a Els Moc Cules Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaspar Araoz helped the player get up and apologised. Els Moc Cules Futbol Club made a substitution. Feliberto Matai replaced Astor Frederico. Gaspar Araoz kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Feliberto Matai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Rufio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Lluterio in the 95th minute of the match. If Samuel Nuno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
