Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Tomás Tebaldo made the kick off in the second half. Mendoza City F.C's attentive Christian Lluis managed to snatch the ball when Nunez Abeijon made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Mendoza City F.C's Benjamin Ubarna in the 56th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rigoberto Barros was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for La Villa through an amazing save. Gonzalo Perez came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by La Villa's Bernardo Admon. But to his dismay, Bernardo Admon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Benjamin Ubarna succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. In the 72nd minute, Tomás Tebaldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Przemyslaw Tipinski in the 73rd minute of play forced Mendoza City F.C's goalkeeper Gonzalo Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Epifanio Hibai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th match minute, La Villa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafino Loreto to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mendoza City F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
